One half of the unit has a fine, 0.125" square mesh, which can accommodate 1.15 quarts of thistle seed or finch blends. A seed port rests on this side, with an included perch, and two holes on the base on this side enable seed to exit onto the tray. A solid metal divider in the center of the item creates a second tube, with a 0.25" square mesh. This side holds 1.15 quarts of large seed, such as peanut chunks or whole sunflower seeds, and a perch on this side offers a spot for a bird to rest. The larger mesh on this half of the unit allows clinging birds to dine with comfort and ease. The raised section at the base of the tube directs seed out the two base ports, and the wide lid keeps it protected from moisture. Drainage holes on the attached tray keep seed fresh, and this tray creates added perching for different birds. For more variety, spread extra sunflower seed on the tray for larger birds to have a snack. The dark green finish on the dome and base lend a natural look to the unit, while contrasting the black seed reservoir and silver colored perches. A silver colored hanging ring on the top allows the feeder to be hung, and screws on tightly to keep the feeder closed.
